Bhutan has an efficient telecommunication system. Nearly all accommodation units have facilities of international dialing, fax and few of them have started offering internet services also. The satellite earth station in Thimphu was installed in 1990 along with a sophisticated international telephone services and now direct dial calls go through quickly and clearly.

You can send mail from hotels and post offices and this mail service is quite reliable. DHL provides efficient courier service to and from Bhutan.
